On December 5th, My amazing husband started a beyond huge project. Jeff and I decided that with Nicklaus crawling soon and due to the age of our flooring that it was time to upgrade our flooring. I really liked the wood/laminate floor look and so did Jeff. We thought while we were ripping out the carpet and kitchen floor, why not put in a wall in the kitchen and more cabinets! In true Hintze style we also thought, hey why not put new countertops in too and why not paint the walls in the kitchen and living room while were at it!! Oh yeah and how bout and small island in the kitchen too!!! Some people who don't know think we are crazy, but those who do, get excited to see the results! Jeff is truly an amazing handyman. I can't imagine how much I would have had to pay for labor costs if it were not for his talents! So we are still waiting for the carpet to be instlled but the painting, wood floor, counters, cabinets and island are done and here are some pictures before and after to show the amount of work we did to transform our home! Merry Christmas Amy, here is your new home! The best part was making Banana Bread in my new kitchen.
